Description

The Pet Safe Radio Fence for stubborn dogs is a great way to keep large or stubborn dogs safe, while still allowing them freedom to explore and play. This pet fence differs from the Pet Safe Radio Fence for Small to Medium Dogs in the levels of correction available.

The Super Radio Fence, which is recommended for use as an underground dog fence, has five levels of correction making it suitable for larger and stubborn dogs who may not respond to the level of correction employed by the Standard Radio Fence.

Key Benefits:

  • For outdoor use only.
  • For dogs 10 kg and up.
  • Fits neck sizes 15 - 71cm.
  • 4 adjustable levels of static stimulation.
  • Vibration option, perfect for hearing impaired pets.
  • Tone-only mode alerts your pet with a beep.
  • Over Stimulation Protection: Stimulation stops after 30 seconds.
  • Covers up to 0.3 acres (0.13 hectares) with included boundary wire.

The adjustable Receiver Collar is especially designed for hard-to-train dogs of every size.

Included in the box is: Transmitter with power adapter, 150m of wire to cover 1/3 acre, collar for neck sizes from 15cm - 71cm, 50 Boundary flags, RF-275 Receiver with medium and long contact points (9v battery included) and an Operation manual.

Additional dogs can be added by using extra collars. A Small Dog Collar can be added to the Large Dog system but not vice-versa.

Q: Where can I place the device?

A: The transmitter unit must be placed away from the elements in a dry, well ventilated area with no large metal objects within a metre to ensure no interruption to the signal. It requires mains power. The fence itself runs through the transmitter unit to create a circuit. The collar, when it crosses this circuit, activates.

Q: Is it safe?

A: Yes, once the dog is above the weight and age limit. The static correction can be changed on the collar.

Q: Will it affect my neighbour's dog?

A: No, not unless they have a collar too.

Q: What about rain?

A: The hub unit is not waterproof but the collar is.

Q: I've got one of these but my wire is broken, what can I do?

A: You'll need a gel connector, which we also have in-stock. Cut or remove the broken parts of the wire, connect them again and wrap one around the other. Open your gel connector and place the joined wires inside, closing it after. This same process can be used to add more wire to your boundary.

Q: I heard you can block the signal to a particular part of the 'fence'?

A: You can and it's very easy. If you wish your dog to be able to pass over a certain part of the fence, twist the opposing wires through that area and splice their ends with additonal wire so that you can create a complete boundary (circuit).

Q: Can my dog "run-through" the fence?

A: They can, but they will be reminded to return before receiving a continuous correction. If the correction exceeds ten seconds, the system will shut off.

Q: Do I need to train my dog?

A: There is an intensive 30 day training plan included in the manuals for all 3 types of fence. The flags included are there to show your pet where the boundary ends. You should train your dog in 10-15 minute segments. Show your dog regularly where the boundary ends. Use treats in conjunction with this training for best results. You should be with your dog for when he or she receives their first correction.

Q: How old and how big does my dog need to be to use this?

A: Suitable for dogs over 10kg, over 9 months, with no underlying health issues. Not suitable for geriatric dogs or dogs with aggressive tendencies.
